4.) Legal accessibility requirements
As a service in electronic commerce, mypado is subject to specific accessibility requirements. Our goal is to make the website perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for everyone—including users of assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers).
In practice this includes:
Perceivable: alternative text for images, clear structure, comprehensible forms.
Operable: keyboard access; visible focus; logical focus order.
Understandable: consistent navigation, clear labels, helpful messages and error handling.
Robust: reliable operation with common browsers and assistive tools.
Where products have specific accessibility requirements, we provide relevant information where possible.
5.) Aids supporting barrier-reduced use
To make use easier, we pay attention to:
Sufficient color contrast and legible font sizes,
Visual feedback on interactions (hover/active states) and clear status messages,
Keyboard operability for navigation, filters, selection and form fields; visible focus,
Labels & ARIA attributes for interactive elements (e.g. form fields, selectors),
Structured headings (H hierarchy), meaningful link texts and consistent components,
Responsive design for smartphone, tablet and desktop with sufficiently large, easy-to-reach touch targets,
Dialogs & notices accessible by keyboard and closable via Escape.
We continuously review third-party components and content for accessibility characteristics and improve them where possible.
6.) Content not (yet) fully accessible
Despite our efforts, the following content/files may currently be limited in accessibility:
Some images without alternative text (especially older media),
Embedded documents (e.g. PDF, DOCX),
Video/audio content without captions or audio description,
Occasional third-party components whose accessibility we can only influence to a limited extent.
If you encounter barriers, please let us know—we’ll take care of it (see the next section).
